Hi, I'm Jo Moar

Founder, Mursetter

I'm passionate about helping sports clubs and community groups navigate the day-to-day challenges that come with keeping things running.

Mursetter was created from a simple belief: organisations do better when the right support is in place.

With more than 30 years' experience across administration, operations, governance, compliance, finance, stakeholder engagement, and community sport, I understand the balancing act many organisations face, growing expectations, limited resources, volunteer pressure, and never quite enough time.

I've experienced these challenges from every angle - as a volunteer, committee member, employee, contractor, governance contributor, and active supporter of community organisations and sport. That means I don't just understand the theory behind good operations and governance, I understand the real-world realities behind them too.

My goal is to become a trusted extension of your organisation - someone who can help lighten the load, create clarity, strengthen systems, and support the people doing important work in our communities.

When I'm not working, you'll usually find me following football, travelling around New Zealand, gardening, enjoying creative projects, or spending time with my husband Pete and our wonderfully chaotic collection of pets.

The Story Behind Mursetter

OUR STORY

Mursetter grew from a period of reflection about how I wanted to work, not just harder, but better, while protecting the work/life balance that is important to my own wellbeing.

That thinking became much clearer in early 2024 during the incredible honeymoon my husband Pete and I shared in the Shetland Islands.

We visited the island of Yell, where my family ancestors once lived.Standing in that rugged landscape, it was impossible not to reflect on the resilience of those who came before me - people who lived in harsh conditions, adapted to constant change, and persevered through challenge and uncertainty.

Mursetter was built from that decision: combining practical expertise, lived experience, and a genuine commitment to supporting the organisations and people who strengthen our communities.
